The Sunrise Skilled Trades Camps started as a simple idea.  Troy Reichert, CTE teacher in Guernsey Wyoming, pitched an idea to Harbor Freight Tools for Schools leaders about starting a summer camp for boys and girls going into grades 10-12.  This camp would be open to kids across the nation, and help kids learn about the skilled trades while working on the oldest YMCA in Wyoming.  Evening activities would be included to keep the camp fun and educational, including floating the Platte River, touring the archaeological dig site across from the YMCA, and many other activities.  Through support of many individuals and financial support from donors, this FREE camp has grown from 8 campers in 2021 to nearly 30 last year from 7 different states.
